Supporter for Flow Team 2Hollister Incorporated has principles and cultural beliefs that set it apart from other organizations
I first started working for Dansac in 1979, before it became part of Hollister Incorporated, as a Team Operator for the Dansac Ostomy Care team. While I enjoyed my time with the company, after five years I decided to try something different and left to work in my local grocery store as a supervisor in the deli department.
Ten years later, in 1994, I noticed a temporary position was open in the canteen department at Dansac. I was eager to rejoin the company, so I applied. The position was only part time, which was not what I was looking for. However, the next day I was thrilled to be offered a full-time position in production in Fredensborg. I accepted the role and I’ve been here this second time around for 23 years.
Hollister offers many different opportunities along your career path if you have the willingness and initiative to grow and change. I consider myself to be a curious person and have enjoyed the many new positions I’ve had working with the Dansac team. Through the years, I’ve worked in many different areas in the production department, as well as different shifts (day and evening) with various responsibilities. I’ve been part of a development project. I’ve also worked in the warehouse for the Nordic business unit, and as a health and safety representative. Recently, I was offered a promotion to the role of Supporter and I now have supervisor responsibility supporting two Flow Teams. Understanding the machines from a technical point of view—how they run and how to improve efficiency—has always been a strong interest for me. I’m also currently training new production Associates during their onboarding.
Hollister is an organization that values collaboration and encourages its Associates to move in the same direction—to do what’s best for our customers. Our Immutable Principles and Cultural Beliefs set us apart from other organizations. I take pride in knowing that my Dansac colleagues are personally accountable and put our customers first.
